Betina, situated on the northeast coast of Murter, is connected to the mainland by a bridge near Tisno, 35 km west of Šibenik. Its historic part is built on the slopes of the Artić peninsula, expanding over time to include the Zdrače bay and merging with the town of Murter. Today, there’s no physical boundary between Murter and Betina. The city is dominated by the parish church of St. Francis of Assisi, from which a network of narrow old streets leads to the town’s old core.

Tisno, where the island of Murter almost touches the mainland, derives its name from the narrow strait (6m) separating the island from the mainland. It is situated 28 km west of Šibenik. The center of the old part is on the island, southeast of the bridge, while the newer part is built on the mainland.

Jezera, situated on the southeast side of Murter, is connected to the mainland by a bridge near Tisno, 28 km west of Šibenik. Jezera still retains its characteristic Dalmatian fishing village appearance. The rocky land has made Jezera skilled fishermen and sailors, evolving into one of the most vital middle Dalmatian fishing centers. If you crave freshly caught fish, you can buy it directly from the fishermen on the waterfront in the early evening.

Kornati is the densest island group in the entire Mediterranean, located in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic. The archipelago is divided into two groups: the Lower Kornati and the Upper Kornati. Of the 152 Kornati islands, 89 have been declared a national park in 1980 due to their exceptional landscape beauty, extensive coastline, and rich marine flora and fauna.
